Description: The role of the Testing Technician is to test Softline and Homeline products according to the Canadian Regulatory Standards, Client Performance Standards and Safety Standards. The Testing Technician will perform all aspects of testing and accurately complete test report worksheets.
Qualifications:
Developed knowledge in the following:
  • Textile and Dyeing
  • Test Methods and Canadian Regulatory Standards
  • Safety Standards
  • Quality Assurance
  • Garment Construction
  • Report Writing/written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to the team in a positive manner by managing in-house
  • Organizational skills and ability to maintain priorities
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Attention to details
  • 3+ years of work experience in Textile Testing Lab, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience

    • Education: Textile Technology Degree or equivalent experience
    Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Applications
    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to work for long periods of time on your feet.
    • Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds (ground level to above shoulders) of baskets or garments to and from testing areas to workstations.
